Load and the tendon problem

- Progress load in small steps. The bar will go up anyway; you do not need to force it.
- Keep most sets in moderate ranges (roughly 6–15 reps). Save maximal singles for tested meets, not for Tuesdays.
- Full range of motion, controlled eccentrics: tendons adapt to loaded lengthening.
- Any sharp tendon pain is a stop signal that day, not a warm-up problem.
- Consider that some compounds dry joints via low estrogen; if joints ache, estradiol is the first thing to check.
Food and sleep set the ceiling
Extra volume without extra calories and protein is extra fatigue. The off-season numbers still apply: a modest surplus, 1.6–2.2 g protein per kg, carbohydrate to fuel the added sets. Sleep seven-plus hours; androgens can disrupt it and the volume you just added needs it.
Cardio on cycle
Blood pressure and hematocrit are rising in the background. Three moderate sessions a week is not optional conditioning; it is part of managing the three numbers.
Coming off
